There is talk on the Sunshine Coast about Visionary Leaders Canada. Who are they, and what are they about? And what is this workshop on narcissism versus leadership?
Visionary Leaders Canada is a group of people who have realized they have an inner purpose to make a difference. Some people may refer to it as their personal calling. They come from many different backgrounds: realtors, politician, social worker, physiotherapist, personal coach and an anthropologist - just an eclectic group of people showing up to share what they have learned and how they got to where they are, as leaders for change.
Most of them would probably tell you the ride to where they are now was interesting but not easy, the main point being their willingness to listen to an intense desire of becoming peacemakers. They will awaken in you a sense of yourself and your personal calling.
This journey to becoming leaders for change is what Visionary Leaders Canada is about. They believe that a good leader will take you to where you want to go, but a great leader will take you beyond where you thought you could go. They will be in Sechelt presenting a weekend workshop on narcissism versus leadership that will provide the participants with a consciousness raising experience.
The workshop is set for Sept. 24 to 26 from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday (registration starts at 6:30 p.m.); Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Health & Social Development building (Elders board room).
