West Sechelt Elementary School will once again host the biggest and best carnival on the Coast, June 15 from 5 to 8 p.m.
The annual fundraiser sees the school and its field transformed into the ultimate one-day carnival, thanks to the help of over 60 volunteers.
Boasting huge inflatable rides and attractions, games, prizes, a cakewalk, face painting, balloon animals, a silent auction, a barbecue, snow cones, cotton candy and much more, there’s something for kids and adults of all ages at the West Sechelt Elementary Carnival.
Guests can try their luck on huge inflatables like the Wild One Obstacle Course or Wipe Out or try their hand at one of 10 games like Tip a Troll or Tic Tac Toe for the chance to win prizes. Two games, the Fishing Pond and the Lollypop Pull, guarantee you’ll get a prize, but the rest of the games take some skill to walk away a winner.
Students have been busy putting together themed baskets with their classes that can be bid on at the event, and everyone at the school is getting into the carnival spirit.
The June 15 event runs over the dinner hour but there will be plenty of food for families who want to come early and enjoy every minute of the three-hour carnival before it’s gone for another year.
All proceeds from this annual event go to the West Sechelt Elementary School Parents Advisory Committee, which uses the funds to benefit the students at the school.
