Kettle Drive still needs volunteers

Salvation Army
kettles

Sea Cavalcade vice-chair Jon Glencross and Sea Cavalcade volunteer Christine Evens present The Salvation Army family services coordinator Matthew Hardman a $1,000 cheque to the kettle campaign for the food bank and feeding programs. The funds were raised by Sea Cavalcade and the Sunshine Coast Jazz and Entertainment Society.

The Salvation Army kettle campaign is in need of more volunteer hosts. It needs to fill between 400 and 500 two-hour shifts to reach its scheduling goal. The need is especially high at both Gibsons and Wilson Creek IGAs. As well, there are still several shifts to fill at Independent Grocer, London Drugs and Claytons.

Anyone interested can text or call Ingeborg Hardman at 604-818-0048 or go to www.tsaonthecoast.com and click the red button (kettles 2017) on the right top of page to go directly to the scheduling page.
