For March, our featured skater is Amelia Nanson. Amelia is an 11-year-old skater who attends West Sechelt Elementary School. She loves being able to feel free on the ice and her favourite thing about skating is “learning new skills and pushing myself past my comfort zone.” When she isn’t skating she likes to hang out with friends.
Amelia moved from Junior Academy up to the club’s STAR program this season and has shown good progress. Amelia is positive and polite with a good work ethic. She is not only learning the technical side of skating but is also benefitting from the mental prep, dryland training and all of the life lessons figure skating instills. Keep up the good work and continued progress Amelia.
