Hearing Headwater is like listening to the West Coast of Canada in song. Freewheeling, fierce, sentimental and sexy, the Vancouver quartet has earned its reputation as one of the finest acoustic roots groups around - the old-fashioned way.
The band will play at Sun Haven Waldorf School's first Midsummer's Eve Gala fundraiser on Saturday, June 20, from 7:30 to midnight, outdoors under the tents at Eric Cardinall Hall, at 930 Chamberlin Rd. There will be fresh local fare, live music, fire dancers and an impressive silent and live auction.
