Today, Aug. 28 is the last Friday for the Pender Harbour Youth Group to meet at the Hall. Events for youth five to seven years old start at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. for older youth. Drop in!
Tonight, Friday, Aug. 28, enjoy a delicious dinner special of cabbage rolls, perogies and sausage at the Legion as well as the usual fare of fish & chips. The coming week the kitchen renos begin and the barbecues on the patio will be fired up on Wednesday and Friday nights. Meat draws are Saturday and Sunday with Pull The Ace on Saturdays, now in week three. Thanks to all – volunteers, participants, those who donated prizes and ace organizers for a fantastic Annual Golf Tournament last Saturday.
Sunday, Aug. 30 is the last Open Mic of the summer. Showcase your talent, bring your best dish for the potluck, a $2 donation and the family for an afternoon of fun at the Hall from 2 to 6 p.m. Tess has all the details at 604-883-0024.

The next day, Wednesday, Sept. 2, drop in to the Hall for Carpet Bowling – just $3 from 1 to 3 p.m.

I will be hosting our Pender Harbour fundraiser for the BCSPCA Paws For A Cause. We will be front and centre in Madeira Park outside the Earthfair Store Friday, Sept. 4, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a bake sale, creampuffs, cookies, cakes, and a bounty of local produce and a raffle too! All proceeds go towards preventing cruelty to animals.
