The Pender Harbour Garden Club welcomes speaker Gwen Odermatt Monday, Nov. 13, 1 to 3 p.m. at the School of Music. Operator for 20 years of Petals and Butter-flies, a farm nursery specializing in growing plants that attract butterflies and benefit wildlife gardens, Odermatt also teaches an advanced master gardener course. Pender Harbour Wild-life presents Calgary geologist Peter Hews Tuesday, Nov. 14, 7 p.m. at Pender Harbour Secondary School. Twelve years ago Peter discovered a dinosaur skull and horn in southern Alberta. This turned out to be a new species and genus of Ceratopsian dinosaur. Peter will share photos of the discovery and ten year journey to have it displayed and into pre-history books. Home-baked refreshments will be served. Free. Come to the Wildlife Homes Workshop, Nov. 18, noon to 4 p.m. at the Iris Griffiths Centre. Have great fun building a bat, swallow, owl, duck or bee box.
