The ninth annual Hallo-ween Howl is this Saturday Oct. 28, brought to you by the Pender Harbour Blues Society. Headlining this dance and costume extravaganza is the fabulous Steve Kozak. Tickets, if any are left, will be available at www.phblues.ca, Java Docks and Strait Music.
The Bargain Barn has been successful in recruiting new volunteers to join the ranks of their awesome crew. So, as of Nov. 2 the thrift store will once again be open for business on Thursdays 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Opening hours on other days, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, remain the same: 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Legion is hoping you will want to make this Remembrance Day a special one by signing up and donating a little of your time offering poppies for donations. Sign up sheets are ready and waiting to be filled in at the Legion.
The Rotary Auction is next Saturday, Nov. 4. Tickets for $25 are available at the Legion and Harbour Insurance and from any Rotarian. Enjoy appetizers from 5:30 to 7 p.m. while looking for treasures to bid on.
