The Pender Harbour Health Centre Society’s AGM is at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24 in the main reception area of the Health Centre at 5066 Francis Peninsula Road. Come find out what’s been happening and what’s on the agenda for the future. For example, did you know it is one of the founding members of the BC Association of Community Health Centres? It wouldn’t exist without the vision and support of the people of Pender Harbour.
Pender Harbour Trash Bash Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. For many years, Pender Harbour has set aside time to clean up its own trails and back roads, often assisted by the SCRD. The list of supporting organizations has expanded including the Power Squadron, Community School, Garden Bay Sailing Club, PH Rotary Club and the Hiking Club. This year’s major sponsor is the Sunshine Coast Credit Union www.sunshineccu.com along with the SCRD. The SCRD is waiving dumping fees, approximately $750-$1,000 for this event. Volunteers please meet 10 a.m. at Lions Park, 13776 Sunshine Coast Hwy. Wear sturdy footwear, bring gloves and safety vest.
