We all know and love The Bargain Barn thrift store. Unfortunately, over the past few months, several volunteers have reluctantly had to step back because of health and other personal issues. Consequently, beginning Sept. 7 the Bargain Barn will be closed on Thursdays.
If you’ve been thinking of getting out of the house and more involved in the community, this is the perfect opportunity. The minimum requirement is three hours a month during which you get to mingle with like-minded people in a happy setting. To further explore the volunteering opportunities at the Bargain Barn, contact Janet Thomas at [email protected] or 604-883-9330.
BCSPCA Paws For a Cause Walk for prevention of animal cruelty is Sept. 10 this year at Hackett Park. Come to this great event, fun for all your family, two and four legged. I am putting a call out to talented cooks, bakers and gardeners to donate to our Village Market booth. If you would like a booth for your own treasures or creations, book one with me for a donation of $25. Call or text 604-989-0851.
