This Friday is Quiz Night at the Legion hosted by Harbour Publishing. Join in this fundraiser for this year’s graduates.
Food and Fashion, a delicious Sunday brunch and fabulous fashion show, is this Sunday, May 7, 11:30 a.m. at the Legion, brought to you by the wonderful Bargain Barn volunteers, with a silent auction and shopping for Mothers Day gifts and more.
On May 8 at 1 p.m. at the School of Music, Fred Wein Sr. of Clearview Horticultural products will delight the P.H. Garden Club with his talk about clematis. Clearview is a family business founded in 1970 that continues to innovate and has become North America’s leader in clematis propagation, production and breeding. Frank will donate three clematis plants for raffle prizes. Garden Club members will receive a 10 per cent discount at their seasonal garden shop in Aldergrove.
All women in Pender Harbour are invited to come celebrate the beginning of the summer season at Pender Harbour Women’s Connection on Tuesday, May 9 at 10 a.m. at the School of Music. There will be delicious strawberry treats, music, raffle prizes and good friends. SAS will be entertaining, and there will be a brief AGM. Spring luncheon tickets will be on sale, too.
May 10 is Auxiliary Day and the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary, Pender Harbour Branch will show their appreciation for all the help and support from the community by giving out homemade cookies at Ambush Corner. They are always glad to have new members to help improve our hospital.
Friday, May 12, the Pender Harbour Music Society Coffee House welcomes to the stage Robin Atchison and Giles Nelson, original vocals with guitar and harmonica; Reflections, women’s vocal ensemble; and Paula Seward, vocals with piano. Doors open at 7 p.m., music at 7:30 p.m. at the School of Music; $10 suggested donation at the door. Goodies and coffee will be for sale.
