Pender Harbour Women’s Connection is planning a field trip April 25 to Swish, a little bit of New York in Gibsons. Car pool from Crossroads across from PetroCan at 9:30 a.m. and the Legion in Madeira Park at 9:45 a.m. On arrival at Leo’s Tapas and Grill, Lynn Ujarvy, Swish’s owner, will lead a seminar on wardrobe planning and putting outfits together, with lunch to follow. Puzzled about the provincial election? Come to an All Candidates Debate at the Pender Harbour Community Hall on Wed-nesday, April 26 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., hosted by the Pender Harbour Advisory Council and chaired by Alan Stewart. Hear about issues of importance to Pender Harbour. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Debate starts at 7 p.m. A free event.
Seniors Initiative activities this week start with origami challenge Monday, 9:30 a.m. at the Mad Park Bistro. Tuesday come walking 10:30 a.m., Wednesday carpet bowling 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday Harbourside Friendship is Show and Tell starting at 10:30, and Friday chair yoga is from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. All activities Tuesday through Friday are at the Hall.
Get ready for the May Day volleyball tournament! Drop in Fridays 7 to 9 p.m. at Pender Harbour Secondary School for practice and then get a team of six together and sign up for the tournament. Prizes and fun to be had! For more info, call the Community School at 604-883-2826.

Next weekend will be jam packed with activities and events in the Harbour. The all-day, fun-filled April Tools Wooden Boat Building Challenge is Saturday, April 29 at Millennium Park.
To coincide with April Tools, the Harbour Gallery will be open Saturday, April 29 with a special show called A Nod to Nauticals. Lots of great shopping at the art, crafts and plant sale at the Community Hall and the Legion’s garage sale. Donate your extra plant divisions and book a table for the Hall event.
