The Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary would like to thank everyone who bought a ticket in the raffle to raise funds for the hospital. The winning tickets were drawn at the wrap-up summer potluck: first prize $300, Margaret Laturnas; second prize $200, Doris Farrand; third prize $100, Billy Jean Evans.

Chair yoga is on Fridays at the P.H. Community Hall, 10 to 11 a.m. and then walking 11 a.m. to noon.

Put your best foot forward and take in the magnificent beauty of our Coast Mondays and Wednesdays with the Pender Harbour hiking club. Call 604-883-2930 to join them.

The Food Bank is open every second Monday from noon to 12:30 p.m. The next day is June 29.

Volleyball is at MPES outdoor court Mondays 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. All ages and levels welcome for a $3 drop-in fee.

The P.H. Community School offers kids’ basketball, Mondays 2:45 to 4 p.m., and kids’ baseball, Tuesdays 2:45 to 4 p.m. at Madeira Park Elementary School. Cost is $40.

Come celebrate Canada Day by visiting the Harbour Gallery in Madeira Park where gallery members will be exhibiting their summer show. The gallery is open July 1 to August 31 daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Carpet bowling happens at the community hall Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m.

Drop in for soccer at PHSS from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursdays.

Summer camp for ages five to 12 years runs July 6 to 10 and July 13 to 17, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, a partnership program between the P.H. Aquatic and Fitness Centre and P.H. Community School. Weekly, daily and family rates are available. Call the community school at 604-883-2826 or the pool at 604-885-6866 or to register.
