The Egmont Community Club is having a Mother's Day tea at 2 p.m. this Saturday at the Egmont Community Hall.

The Pender Harbour School of Music is proud to present Paul Marleyn, an exceptional cellist, and pianist Mauro Bertoli. This dynamic duo will provide a truly grand finale to the Pender Harbour Music Society’s memorable 2014/2015 concert series. The Pender Harbour Garden Club invites you to come and explore the community gardens of Madeira Park on Monday, May 11 at 1 p.m. and find out why Don Fraser is so successful.  What plants are thriving, and why?  Following the walk in the garden, there will be coffee and discussion at the School of Music.  Meet at the Community Hall at 1 p.m.

Pender Harbour Golf Course is pleased to announce the Monday Twilight Scrambles are back and will start on May 4 at 4 p.m. Phone the Pro Shop to sign up: 604-883-9541. Everybody is welcome.

Drop in Sports at PHSS Gym are Mondays 7 to 9 p.m. for $3 with a variety of sports: basketball, volleyball, badminton and more!

The Pender Harbour Women's Connection will welcome Carole Rubin, author of How to Get Your Lawn and Garden Off Drugs and How to Get Your Lawn Off Grass. Carole’s talk My Green Thumb/Green Planet is a hard-hitting and hilarious presentation about the environmental and social justice choices we make and the consequences we create when we garden. Carole will share stories about going pesticide-free, putting the right plants in the right place, and using less water for a healthier garden, a healthier environment. At 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12 at the PH School of Music in Madeira Park.

The Ukulele Group meets Tuesdays 3 to 4 p.m. in the Harbour Learning Centre for all ages, and it’s free! All levels are welcome — learn to play and have a great time doing so!

The Community School is excited to offer the new Non-Profit Workshop Series to help organizations work more efficiently. Topics include Strategic Planning, with Marg Penney; Creating a Press Release, with Carole Rubin; Becoming a Treasurer, with Janet Falk; Grant Writing, with Marg Penney.  Call PHCS at 604-883-2826 for dates and to register.

Join the Harbourside Friendship Group this Thursday, May 14. Meet at Rona’s Garden Centre to pick up garden flowers, followed with lunch at the PH Golf Course.  For more information, call Cathy at 604-885-1365.

The Pender Harbour Legion is preparing and collecting for their gigantic annual Garage Sale on June 6. Bring items you can carry easily to the Legion during hours of operation Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday  11 a.m. to 4 p.m. No electronics, please. Don’t forget to come for fun, free popcorn and winnings at the meat draws Saturdays and Sundays. For more information, call 604-883-2235.
