The historic Sarah Wray Hall will be open on Feb. 22 and 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in celebration of Heritage Week. Drop by and visit with the Pender Harbour Living Heritage Society folks. Renew your PHLHS membership, learn to search the online database, bring old photos for scanning, see new displays, research material, preview all the exciting upcoming events and watch the beautiful cedar strip handcrafted canoe being built. Lots of volunteer opportunities too! The Hall is located at 4334 Irvines Landing Rd. Coffee will be on! 

The Women’s Connection is pleased to present Kevin Wells, Pender Harbour artist, as their guest speaker at the Feb. 28 meeting.  Kevin is known for his beautiful landscapes and portraits. Come and learn how this artist, who is becoming renowned in his field, uses various painting mediums to create works that can be startingly realistic or subtlety abstract. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. at the School of Music. Drop-in fee $4.  

Dust off those boots and dancing shoes, it’s almost time for Blue Western Dinner & Dance, March 4 at Madeira Park Legion. Dinner, 6 p.m., dance, 7:30 to11 p.m. $30 per ticket. To purchase please visit the Legion or Harbour Insurance. 

Tickets are now on sale for the Pender Harbour Blues Society Easter Dance Party Saturday April 8 with Vancouver’s best party band Brickhouse! This event, a fundraiser for the Blues Society is always a sellout so get your tickets now. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. at the Pender Harbour Community Hall.
