Closed since Dec. 18, The Grasshopper Pub is still a very hot topic in the community and curiosity has evolved into negativity and some folks are just downright angry. Will it reopen? I don’t know. The managers, Lea, front of house, and Travis, kitchen manager, are pursuing a new life in Calgary. Other employees who received a pink slip at Christmastime will not be back, yes, friends, including my better half Steve. I imagine the ghost(s) from The Roost are enjoying the view from the main floor.

Remember to shop and dine local, be it ingredients for a favourite recipe, take out, dine in or a nice cup of coffee…Support those hardworking owner operators who are always there for us through thick and thin. Huge heartfelt thanks to all of you!

Have a good week everyone. Stay safe and warm.
