Gibsons Seniors Society hosted their first post-pandemic dance to celebrate Halloween on Oct. 28 at Harmony Hall. Amazing music by the Doug Campbell, OMB, had all the nearly 60 attendees “chuck their walkers and canes” and dance the night away. It ended all too soon for many. Mid evening snacks included a do-it-yourself bunwich bar with cookies and Halloween candy for dessert.
Harmony Hall is 100 per cent volunteer run, and every event is planned and organized by hard-working members. Membership for the upcoming year is now open and for a small fee of $25 anyone over the age of 55 can join with a vote. Activity fees are $2 for Tai Chi, Chi Gong, table tennis, bridge, card games. Yoga, chair yoga, and strong and steady exercise classes are $4 per session. There are also take-out frozen meals available each week, all made with love and the best of ingredients.
This may be the friendliest group of seniors all in one place at one time, and they would all welcome new members. Please check out our website to see how to join, look at the calendar decide which activity you would enjoy most. gibsonsseniors.com
