This Friday, June 29 at Coopers Green Hall is Pat Temple and the HiLo. Having performed at many of Canada’s music festivals, Temple has become a mainstay in the Canadian music scene. He has performed in venues such as Massey Hall, the National Art Gallery and Ontario Place Forum. Temple’s live shows are toe tappin’ and uplifting. Tickets at the door.
Halfmoon Bay Fair is July 7 and 8. The theme will be Nautical; wear your best costume as prizes will be given. The Kids Fishing Derby at Halfmoon Bay government wharf starts Saturday at 9:45 a.m. Meet at HMB Café. The very popular BBQ sockeye salmon dinner and dance at Coopers Green Park is Saturday night with music by Playback. Tickets now on sale at Pastimes in Sechelt, HMB General Store and Welcome Woods Market. Dinner is at 6 p.m., music at 7:30 p.m. A limited number of dinner only tickets will be sold at the door.
Sunday, July 8 starting at 9 a.m. is a pancake breakfast at Coopers Green Park hosted by Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary. Also starting at 9 a.m. is a 3.5 mile trophy race. Register at Connor Park.
The Fair begins with an official opening at 11 a.m. on Sunday and celebration of the 52nd Halfmoon Bay Country Fair. Costume judging is at 2 p.m.
