Halfmoon Bay

The Halfmoon Bay Branch of the SC Health Auxiliary has only two tables left for the Fabulous Bridge Luncheon on April 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sunshine Coast Botanical Garden, 5941 Mason Road. The tickets are $120/table and can be ordered from Shelley at 604-885-7338 ([email protected]). There will be a silent auction and baked goods for sale, so take some cash and enjoy this fun event! 

The Halfmoon Bay Business and Entrepreneur Show plus Community Garage Sale and Craft Fair is on Saturday, April 28 at the school – three events in one! Halfmoon Bay businesses will be showcased in the gym, craft sale in the library and community garage sale on the basketball court. Contact Wendy at [email protected] to showcase your business or if you would like a table at the community garage sale. 

The next HMB Tween Night is Friday April 27 at the Sechelt Aquatic Centre. Parents can drop off Grades 5 to 7 students at the Community Room by the pool at 6:30 p.m. where kids will have a pizza dinner and go swimming, all for the $5 drop-in fee.

Halfmoon Bay Community Association is sponsoring pickleball this and every Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Halfmoon Bay Elementary School. Paddles and balls are supplied. Cost is $3, new members are free the first night. Join the fun and good exercise. For more information email [email protected], or Tim Dayton [email protected]. All skill levels are welcome. 

A special invitation is extended to all residents to a family social event, the Halfmoon Bay family dance. Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 7. There will be dance lessons for parents and kids leading up to the event. If you are interested in being on the committee to help out and make this first dance a huge success, please contact Wendy at [email protected]. Three people are wanted for the Fair July 8. It will involve some heavy lifting, tent set up and take down, and general labour for the day, 7 to 11 a.m. and 3:30 to 5 p.m. Please call Terry 604-885-5034 for more details.
