Contact Wendy at [email protected] to showcase your business or if you would like a table at the community garage sale.

A special invitation is extended to all residents to a family social event, the Halfmoon Bay family dance. Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 7. This will be an event for the whole family, with dance lessons for parents and kids leading up to the event. If you are interested in being on the committee to help out and make this first dance a huge success, please contact Wendy at [email protected]. Sponsored by Halfmoon Bay Elementary School and Halfmoon Bay Community Association.

“Avast, matey.” It seems the pirates have been shanghaiing the theme of this year’s Country Fair. Bring your best swagger and outfit for this year’s Fair, July 7 and 8 at Coopers Green Park.

The Fair is also looking for early donations to the silent auction. Suggestions are to provide a dinner for four, accommodation at a local B&B, a fishing trip, boat ride, etc. Please send offers to [email protected] or call 604-885-5034.

Employment for a day. Three people are wanted for paid work at the Fair July 8. It will involve some heavy lifting, tent set up and take down, and general labour for the day, 7 to 11 a.m. and 3:30 to 5 p.m. Please call Terry 604-885-5034 for more details.

To have your say at the bay, contact me before 5 p.m. Monday at [email protected] or 604-885-5034.
