Halfmoon Happenings

Please make yourself seen. If you are out at night, wear a reflective jacket or carry a flashlight, including illuminating your pets. I have seen recently (at the last moment) a few people walking wearing dark clothing.
Halfmoon

Please make yourself seen. If you are out at night, wear a reflective jacket or carry a flashlight, including illuminating your pets. I have seen recently (at the last moment) a few people walking wearing dark clothing. Be safe out there!

The Halfmoon Bay Branch of the SC Healthcare Auxiliary would like to remind everyone that the next meeting is Feb. 12 at Coopers Green at 9:45 a.m. Visitors and new members are welcome.

The homework club at the HMB school is expanding to include Kindergarten to Grade 3 students along with the grade 4 to 7.

Volunteers are needed for the K-3 children for a read-to-me literacy hour. They need an adult to read a story to the little ones and help with an activity after. Required days and times are Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30pm. Please contact Wendy at [email protected]

The HMB Community Association has three tents 20’ by 10’ that they wish to make available to all societies, associations, schools or groups in Halfmoon Bay. Arrangements can be made through their Facebook page www.facebook.com/HalfmoonBayCommunity or website at www.hmb
community.org.

There will be a concert at Coopers Green Hall on March 3 with Rakish Angles, who have earned nominations for a Canadian Folk Music Award in 2009, Indie Acoustic Project Awards in 2009 and 2011 as well as Western Canadian Music Awards in 2010 and 2012. Watch for more details soon when tickets go on sale.
