Please drive safely this Halloween night and remember there are many little monsters on the road. Children should carry a flashlight and wear reflective clothing.
Friday Oct. 27 is Tween Night in Halfmoon Bay from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the school for students in grades 5 to 7. Pre-register on the SCRD website or pay a $5 drop-in fee at the door. There will be pumpkin carving fun, food and games!
Halfmoon Bay Kicks for Kids starts on Friday, Oct. 27 at 3:30 p.m. in the school gym for a four-week session. There is still room available; pre-register through the SCRD website.
You can help create the Great Halfmoon Bay Pumpkin Trail. Volunteers are invited to come together and light up the trail between Lohn Road and Hart Road in Welcome Woods on Halloween night and make the trail brighter and safer for little trick-or-treaters. You can help by carving a pumpkin, adding a tea light and putting it in the trail any time after 4:30 p.m. on Halloween. A volunteer will go through and light or turn on tea lights just before dark. Or you can drop off ahead of time; contact Wendy in the Community School Office: 604-551-8461.
The Russell deCarle concert, Friday at Coopers Green Hall, is sold out. Thanks to Strait Music, Halfmoon Bay General Store and Welcome Woods Market for selling tickets.
AppleFest was a great success due to the fabulous volunteers who worked so hard. Profits from the sale of apple butter, etc. are being donated to the new hall. Sale of delicious soups from Halfmoon Bay Café also raised $210 towards the new replacement hall.
Thanks to everyone who participated.
To have your say at the Bay, contact me before 5 p.m. Monday at [email protected] or 604-885-5034.
