The Halfmoon Bay Branch of the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary will be meeting Monday, March 13 at Coopers Green Hall at 9:45 a.m. Visitors and new members are always welcome.
Pickleball fans, there will be no pickleball March 15 or March 22 as the school is closed for spring break. It will return March 29 to the Community School gym, Northwood Road.
HBCoA presents Mark Crissinger’s CD release tour. The music event is at Coopers Green Hall April 7. Doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 7:30. Tickets are now on sale at Welcome Woods Store and HMB General Store.
Canadian guitarist and songwriter Mark Crissinger has been performing in pubs, clubs, festivals, and fairs since 1987. For 20 years, he and his bands played an estimated 1,500 shows in Ontario and Quebec, including 18 tours of the Maritime provinces. After moving to British Columbia in 2007, he began to focus on a solo career showcasing his love for writing blues and roots music. Since then, he has released five solo albums and played over 800 shows including 13 eastern Canadian tours and several West Coast music festivals. His one-man show features an array of crazy guitar solos and flawless looping which has gained him popularity on the solo tour circuit. The Crissinger Band is known for their upbeat danceable show and always features an all-star cast. His 2015 album, Blues Expression, received great reviews from critics and extensive airplay on blues radio programs across Canada and the United States.
Mark is a 2017 Maple Blues Award Nominee.
