Welcome to the new acupuncture practice in Roberts Creek. Sage Moun-tain Acupuncture will hold its grand opening on May 13 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Heart of the Creek Plaza (in the rear of the building). Thanks to all who volunteered in our first year of the knotweed project at Henderson Beach. The second year of hand cutting begins on May 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Henderson, and volunteers over the summer are also needed. The Driftwood Players present Norm Foster’s comedy play Office Hours this Friday, May 12. This presentation is a briskly paced and extremely funny dark comedy. Doors open 7 p.m. with curtain at 7:30 p.m. See www.robertscreekcommunity.ca. for information and ticket outlets.

Live at Gumboot Café is the Island Queens Tour on Saturday, May 13, at 7 p.m. with guest Billy Graff.

The Roberts Creek Community Association presents Slow Sundays in the Creek fundraiser. There will be live music with Martini Madness, Champagne Cowboys, Bits of String Family Band, Beachcombers Ukulele, and Graham Walker and friends. There will be munchies. This is a great event for Mother’s Day, May 14, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. See you in the Gazebo Park behind the Roberts Creek Library. This is a community fundraiser for Slow Sundays in the Creek on Sundays from June to September.

On Wednesday May 17, there will be an SCRD Community Dialogue Session. Roberts Creek residents are encouraged to attend to share the topics that concern them, 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Hall. This is a free event. More information at www.scrd.ca.

Once again Creative in the Creek hits the Creek by storm. Thursday, May 18 with show time at 7:30 p.m. at the Gumboot Café. Admission is by donation at the door. Hosts are David Roche and Siobhan Brown. Line-up includes Eliya doing his debut, singing and guitar by Ray Fulber, and funnies by David Roche.

Games Night is May 18 at the Roberts Creek Legion from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m., with Xbox, cards, darts, cribbage, pool, Nintendo 64 and more – or bring your own games.
