The Sunshine Coast Conservation Association and Alliance 4 Democracy are hosting an All Can-didates Environmental Issues Forum, moderated by Donna Shugar. All candidates will be present, 7 p.m. at Roberts Creek Hall.
Earth Day is this Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Rev. Raymond Niebergall begins with an open meditation using sound, music and heart to connect spiritually at the Hall at 10 a.m. From there walk down past the Library Book Sale and on to the pier. Opening remarks begin at noon and music will flow all afternoon. Expect Ransom Notes, David Taylor, Ashly Huatala, Brothers in Farms, Coast String Fiddlers, Citizen Jane and more throughout the afternoon. There are awesome food choices, 40 vendors and workshops. Get involved and find opportunities to volunteer and act in service. Remember to pack it in and pack it out. Leave your car at home, bring your bike and get it tuned up by TraC. Let’s pray for sun!
Look for the members of the Roberts Creek Healthcare Auxiliary at their Spring Plant and Bake Sale this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. behind the library. They’ll have lots of healthy plants and goodies to enjoy.
Also on Saturday, April 22, is a fundraising concert for Jerry Stanway with DJ music at Roberts Creek Hall starting at 8 p.m. Jerry lost his RV home and loving cat in a fire recently in Roberts Creek and he did not have insurance. Come out to have fun and support this long-time Creeker in rebuilding his future.
