Well, the Creek is a busy place. Here is what is happening this weekend and the coming week:
Saturday, March 18 at the Roberts Creek Legion, it is ModernTerror with special guests Sinmobile. Doors at 9 p.m. Members $6, guests with members $12. No minors.
Wednesday, March 22 is the Roberts Creek Community Association community meeting at the Hall at 7 p.m. All Creekers are encouraged to attend.
Saturday, March 25 join DJs Aerion, Stimz and Phyrfly for Solaris at the Roberts Creek Legion. Members $8, guests of members $15.
The Creek is also hopping with lots of weekly events and happenings:
Mondays, 7:30-8:30 p.m. at the Hall it is CODA (Co-Dependents Anonymous), a fellowship of men and women whose common purpose is to develop healthy and fulfilling relationships. Call 604-885-3276 for more info. Please use kitchen side entrance.
Tuesdays, 7 p.m. at the Moon Studio of Yoga By The Sea is Sangha By The Sea, Buddhism and mindfulness meditation. Newcomers and experienced meditators are invited to these weekly community-led meetings. Entrance by donation. More information and preparatory materials at www.sanghabythesea.org.
Tuesdays and Wed-nesdays, 12 noon-6 p.m. is Perogies Galore at the Hall.
Thursdays, 12 noon-6 p.m. it’s Curry in the Creek, also at the Hall.
And Thursdays, 7:15-8:15 is dance fitness classes at the Hall. More information at www.funpass.ca or [email protected].

The Roberts Creek Library is busier than ever. The library hours are now Tuesdays, 2-4 p.m., Wednesdays 2-6 p.m., Thursdays 2-8 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and Sundays 12 noon-2 p.m. Come on in and check out a book – they have a great collection of crime stories that are always being added to.
Lastly, BootTales, the Roberts Creek Community Newsletter is back after a short hiatus, with a fresh new look and a better web presence. It now comes out on the second Monday of each month, and has lots of information about upcoming events, updates for local organizations, and information from the Creek’s SCRD director.
