Railtown Sound System, a nine-piece live dub reggae band, is coming to Roberts Creek Hall, Saturday, Feb. 4, with music from 9 p.m. until late. Advance tickets are $20, $25 at the door, $15 after midnight. Come on out and have a blast.
Roberts Creek Library will hold its regular monthly book sale on Saturday, Feb. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Sunday, Feb. 5 from noon to 2 p.m. The library always has an excellent collection of books – fiction, non-fiction, kids – for sale every day.
A few of the new books available this month: The Hidden Life of Trees; What they Feel, How they Communicate by Peter Wolleben, In the Darkroom by Susan Feludi and Wenjack by Joseph Boyden. Come check them out.
Once again the Roberts Creek Legion will be hosting the Bob Marley Birthday Bash – the 17th annual this year – on Feb. 11. Music starts at 9 p.m. featuring the Hoolicans with special guests and DJ Nils. Come early as it always sells out.

I would like to give kicks to the person who came into our yard and stole approximately $200 worth of bottles that were going to be recycled this weekend. That money was being raised to send youth to the Canadian Jamboree this summer in Nova Scotia. Whoever you are, you should be ashamed of yourself.
