This Friday, Nov. 13, check out the Jenicahaha Open Mike Comedy Night at Roberts Creek Legion. This is a new format, recurring on the second Friday during winter months. Comedians of every stripe are welcome: bring your funny songs, impersonations, stand-up, poetry. Local funny lady Jenica will be hosting and performing comic impersonations. Members $5, guests with members $10, no admission for performers. A FUNdraiser for the Little Legion. Time 9 p.m.
Lounge Night at the Legion, Nov. 14. This is also a new format on occasional Saturdays. It’s a “date night” sort of atmosphere, with low-key entertainment, martini specials, etc. This first one features jazz trio The Organics with “an oasis of chill sounds, appies and atmosphere.” Members $5, guests with members $10. Doors open 8:30 p.m.
Sunshine Coast Jazz Society presents an evening of sublime improvisation with Phil Minton and Torsten Muller and guests Viviane Houle, Graham Ord and Barry Taylor at the Gumboot Cafe 8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14. $10 suggested donation at the door.

The 46th Annual Christmas Craft Fair will be held at the Roberts Creek Hall. There will be over 50 artisans, unique handmade crafts and artisanal wares, raffle prizes and delicious hot lunches and baked goodies. Event is on Nov. 27 from 5 to 9 p.m. and Nov. 28 and 29 from 10 to 4 p.m.
Christmas Craft Fair is also at the Legion on Nov. 28. Lots of local crafters, Santa appearance at 2 p.m. Lunch available, buskers, door prize, admission $2 and that is your entry in the prize raffle.
