The Legion invites you to enjoy Mapstone on Friday, Aug. 21. Mapstone is a highly danceable roots/world/reggae band from Australia who’ll appeal to Creekers who love Mindil Beach. We’ll want them to move here once they’ve played the Legion! Dinner is 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Also at the Legion, Saturday, Aug. 22 is Heatwave Bikini Spaceship, deep summer tropical sound vibrations provided by DJs Marlin, Deano, Bridge and Shortbread, and live visuals by Amphibian 14. This show starts early, at 8:30 p.m.
The 6th Roberts Creek Scout Group is now open for registration for this year’s exciting program. The group has Beaver Scouts (5 to 7), Cub Scouts (8 to 10) and Sea Scouts (11 to 14). The group meets at Camp Byng, 2139 Lower Rd. Our first meeting of the year will be Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 6 p.m. at Haida Lodge, Camp Byng. This will be a registration and all section event.
