This Friday, May 22 at the Roberts Creek Legion enjoy dinner and live music (musician TBA) between 6 and 7:30 p.m. This is baby back ribs night!
On Saturday, May 23 the Roberts Creek Legion sponsors Daffodil Disco, a Ride2Survive Fundraiser. There will be a live band, plus DJ little and DJ sizzle stik. This is a costume party and begins at 9 p.m.
The 6th Roberts Creek Scout Group will hold a yard sale this Saturday, May 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the front area of Camp Byng, 2139 Lower Rd. No early birds. All funds go to support Scout programs.
They will also be operating a bottle drive. Please call 604-885-2282 or 604-886-7140 for pick-up. You can also drop off bottles and cans at the Camp between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. All funds will go to the Nepal Relief Fund.
Attention all members of Scouting and Guiding, including former members — Scouts Canada has issued a special Nepal Fundraising Crest. Cost is $5 and 100 per cent of proceeds will be donated the relief efforts. Order before May 25 and the government of Canada will match our donations. Order from the Scout Shop at www.scoutshop.ca.
The Roberts Creek library volunteers would like to thank all those who bought items and contributed items to their Earth Day yard sale. All proceeds go towards buying the latest titles. Also, don’t forget the seed library, with a good selection of free seeds at the library for your garden.
The Legion invites you to attend Open Jam with A.D.D. from 7:30 to 11 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26. Dinner is earlier from 6 to 8 p.m.
