During a Zoom presentation on March 10, Fran Miller of the Sunshine Coast Health Care Auxiliary announced a graduation gift of $550 to each of the 16 graduating students of Capilano University’s Health Care Assistant (HCA) program in Sechelt. “The continued generosity of the auxiliary and its support of students in this program increases in relevance each year, as the demand for HCAs grows,” the university said. “This gift comes as a surprise to students who are in the final weeks of an eight-month program.”
