Super busy weekend in the Creek – it’s Art Crawl again! Twenty-eight local studios are among the 164 open to show and sell products of creative minds and hands. I personally have the works of a dozen of the featured artists and treasure every piece. Starting Friday the 22nd, and running till Sunday the 24th, it’s your chance to see the places where the magic is made, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you show up after that you better bring beer. (I’m #66)

Outgoing mayor of Calgary, Naheed Nenshi, addressed the five current crises: public health, mental health and addictions, economic dislocation, environmental, and the issue of equity. The Sanskrit word seva means selfless service. How will we move to solutions on our five crises? To be sevadari, “one who gives service.” He calls it: Three Things for Canada. Every citizen, every year, should perform at least three acts of service. It can be something small or something big, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that our service to each other is how we create our future.
