Gibsons Garden Club hosts organic farmer Belinda Schroeder speaking on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Heritage Playhouse.

Gibsons Garden Club is excited to present Belinda Schroeder as this year’s featured speaker.

Schroeder is a certified organic farmer on Salt Spring Island with a passion for growing your own food. Schroeder is a retired Master Gardener, a gardening workshop facilitator, and former radio show host of Grow Your Own. She maintains gardens for some clients and coaches other clients in the transition of their gardens from conventional to organic, and from ornamental to edible plantings. Her passion is Grow Food, Start Now!

Schroeder’s talk will be held Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Heritage Playhouse, and starting at 6:30 p.m. there will be a silent auction of all things gardening. There will also be light refreshments available.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available at Quality Farm and Pet and at B&K Nursery for $15 each. Tickets can also be reserved at 604-886-9896, with pick-up and payment at the door (cash or cheque only, please).
