The Sechelt Garden Club held their annual Strawberry Tea on June 7 in Elizabeth Stephenson’s lovely garden setting.
It takes a whole village to put on a successful Garden Club Strawberry Tea, and the Sechelt Gar-den Club was fortunate to have tea chair Char-maine Harris and Lorraine Blakeman, who planned and coordinated the event, organized prizes and delegated tasks to the volunteer teams.
Members volunteered with various activities and donations of food.
The pre-tea garden tours included the beautiful and very different gardens of Christi Blackman and Dave Johnson and Charmaine and Lester Harris.
One of the highlights of the tea was the decorated hat contest. The top winners this year were: Kay Ogawa, Peter Kosof and Phyllis Argyll.
If gardening is what you love to do or you are just learning about gardening on the Sunshine Coast and you would like to join with a great bunch of local gardeners, consider joining. More information about the Sechelt Garden Club can be found at www.Secheltgardenclub.com
