This coming Monday, Sept. 6, the Pender Harbour Food Bank Society will have an open-air market for food bank clients from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tables will be laden with donated veggies, fruit, purchased eggs and milk. It will be held at the usual location at the Pender Harbour Community Church, 12891 Lagoon Rd., Madeira Park. Selection is fresh so come early. This is the first of Market Mondays. With school starting up, a busy time for young families, this generous offering will help. They hope to see you there!
Our beautiful Harbour Gallery has had a very successful summer season. For the month of September, the Gallery will open Saturdays 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come browse the masterpieces of all sizes in many mediums created by our talented local artists.
Fine music, hospitality, food and fun at The Clubhouse continues with a triple bill of great music this long weekend. For the Friday night dinner show, Soleil Duo will entertain from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Apasionado is back, the lovely local duo of Lori Carmichael and Randy Rayment. Sunday, Peter Van Trio return from their very success birthday bash on the dock in Gunboat Bay to play those fabulous tunes for you from 2 to 5 p.m. Reservations recommended. $5 cover on Sunday.
The Pender Harbour Community Club has gone with “safety first” and cancelled Fall Faire on Oct. 2 due to the escalating COVID cases. Christmas Faire on Saturday, Nov. 20 still has the green light.
The quaint Saturday Madeira Market will happily continue into October. A Thanksgiving Christmas Market date is set for Oct. 9. This Saturday, Sept. 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., come to the Courtyard for an enjoyable, relaxed and interesting shopping experience.
