Spring has sprung and that means the return of the Farm Gate Market outside Roberts Creek Hall.
Now in its fifth year, the market convenes every Wednesday afternoon from 3 to 6 p.m., rain or shine.
The market provides vendors and community members an opportunity to meet in a friendly and fun setting. Here is a hub for finding local, fresh and quality organic produce, eggs, baked goods, preserves and much more.
What started as a small gathering of local farmers has grown into one of B.C.'s few year-round markets with a focus on organically grown food.
The Farm Gate is a member of the British Columbia Association of Farmers' Markets and is looking forward to participating in the Farmers' Market Nutrition and Coupon (FMNCP) program. The FMNCP provides low-income families and seniors who are enrolled in participating cooking and skill-building programs with coupons each week to spend at their local farmers' market.
Drop by and experience regular special events, amazing music and prepared food by talented local chefs, and help the environment by supporting your local organic growers.
It's a foodie fiesta every Wednesday afternoon from April 3 until Oct. 30 - remember to bring your bags, baskets and small bills.
