Friday the 13th at The Clubhouse, Karl Kirkaldy will entertain you lucky diners 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, The Sofa Kings return adding music to a wonderful afternoon of food, cool drinks, award-winning hospitality, and exceptionally good times. Standing ovation for Mike and his Clubhouse team, Marilyn MacLeod president of the PH Blues Society and the fantastic music man Brandon Isaak for an outstanding, unforgettable evening last Saturday. Wow!

FibreWorks exhibition Threads of Hope is on display now through Sept. 12 at The Yurts. As well as beautiful exhibitions, FibreWorks offers a multitude of workshops and exquisitely crafted yarns for your next creation. Visit their website and Facebook page for all the information.

Bingo is off to another winning season of fun and games. Every Thursday night at the Pender Harbour Community Hall, doors open at 5 p.m., early Bird Bingo 6:30 p.m. and Regular Bingo at 7 p.m. Must be 19 years of age to play.

Earlier in the day, Thursdays, another social event, Harbourside Friendship takes place at the Hall starting at 10:30 a.m.

Tuesday, Aug. 24, Sarah Wray Hall at 4334 Irvines Landing Rd. in Garden Bay will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. Drop by this wonderful heritage site, such an important part of Pender Harbour history.

Madeira Market each Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Gardens, very close to Tony’s Triple BBB’s, has wonderful baked delights from Wendy’s Bakery. There is a deep, dark delicious(chocolate) secret under that pretty glass dome. Delicious! There is an explosion of colourful bouquets and Painted Turtle keepsake bracelets from Beads and Blooms for yourself or gifts. Come visit, come shop, have lunch or a shake and wind your way to the Harbour Gallery and Millennium Park at the waterfront. Paradise found.
