The Sunshine Coast’s Canadian Federation of University Women’s Club is accepting applications for its Bursary Society’s annual campaign, promoting the education and/or training of mature women residing on the Coast.
For more than three decades, the Bursary Society has been recognized for its dedication to this worthy cause, providing over $150,000 for coursework in areas ranging from dental hygiene, to Justice Institute coursework, to academic programming. Of note is a significant bursary award of $2,000 going to a student of Capilano College this year.
Chair Patsi Minnes is hoping for increased public awareness of this community resource and encourages women over the age of 21, who reside locally and are seeking a means of obtaining further training or education, to apply at www.cfuwsc.org, where both further information and applications are available.
