Exciting first week in for the Pender Harbour Rotary’s Online 50/50 Draw. The pot was over $5,000 and continues to grow. Go to the Rotary website or Facebook page to buy your tickets. Each month you could win big as well as contribute to Rotary projects.

The “good egg” project, a chance to recognize “the good eggs” in our community, is a seasonally timed event for both Easter and April Volunteer Month. Display a colourful Easter egg sign acknowledging the good work of volunteers and raise awareness of your group. Together we will showcase the wealth of services provided by non-profit and community groups in Pender Harbour and Egmont. Contact the host of this wonderful happening, the Pender Harbour Community School, for your sign and more details at 604-883-2826.

The Bargain Barn has more than a couple dozen “good eggs” – hardworking, smiling volunteers making your shopping a pleasure every Wednesday and Saturday at the Legion noon to 3 p.m.

The Egmont Thrift Shop has a lovely, new cement walkway. Improvements are ongoing and volunteers are needed and warmly welcomed to carry on the projects. Contact Dina at [email protected].

The Pender Harbour Health Centre wheelchair-accessible van service is now up and running, helping seniors to travel to their medical appointments. It can be booked by calling the community coordinator at 604-251-7488 every Wednesday between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the following week. There is a fee for this service. If you have any questions, please call the number above.
