Johanna Rzepa, the local area director for Toastmasters, honoured Frank Coldicott of Gibsons for his 50-year membership in the public speaking and leadership organization.

District director Kerry Deschamps from Prince George gave an inspiring speech to the gathered group of 34 members that included representatives of the other three clubs on the Coast: Morningstars (Gibsons), Sunshine (Sechelt) and Beachcombers (advanced).

Coastmasters meets on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. at the Gibsons Chamber of Commerce office.
