Canadian National Railways (CN) has recognized one of its retired employees by donating $500 to the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary.
Lynne Bayzand worked for CN for 28 years and now she and her husband John volunteer an average of 10 hours a week at the Gift Shop, Loan Cupboard and Thrift Store run by the Auxiliary. They also do deliveries for Meals on Wheels.
According to the CN website, “Every year, CN railroaders contribute thousands of hours of personal time to make their communities better places to live and work. It is part of our company’s long and proud tradition of community involvement. CN supports these efforts, by providing grants to the organizations where our employees, retirees and their families volunteer. The grants encourage a spirit of caring, and support our railroaders’ endeavours to make a difference in their communities.”
The Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary extends its gratitude to CN and Lynne and John for their generous support.
