The Sechelt Seniors Activity Centre (SSAC) is ready to launch an exciting new social activity for members: weekly cash bingo. This is a fun-filled way to build social connections and improve cognitive abilities while concentrating on the numbers and patterns of play.

Bingo is run by an enthusiastic group of volunteers and held at the SSAC every Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. The minimum buy is a 10-game pack of three-up sheets (i.e. three cards per game) for $20. Players are encouraged to use only cash or debit cards when purchasing cards to help limit overspending on gaming.

The 10-game schedule will feature increasing cash payouts with an enticing final game jackpot. The minimum payout for each game will be posted at the start and may be increased for any given game depending on revenues. Intermission is after the fifth game.

Participants must be members of the SSAC, which is $30 for the entire year and includes access to 26 different activities, special events, bus trips and a wide offering of delicious, affordable meals to be enjoyed in the lunchroom or by taking out a wide variety of home-made frozen entrees.

All ages are welcome to become a SSAC member but, to play bingo, you must be at least 19 years of age. Seating will be limited so, to secure a seat, please come in or call the centre at 604-885-3513 to register. Drop-ins will only be allowed if seating limit is not filled by the time bingo starts. We look forward to seeing you there!
