The Toastmasters International Division H Table Topics (two-minute impromptu speaking) and Tall Tale (three to five minutes) contests were both won by Maureen McBeath of the Sunshine Coast.

McBeath competed with four other contestants in each contest from Sea-to-Sky, North and West Vancouver areas.

Toastmasters Sunshine Coast area director Johanna Rzepa was thrilled with McBeath’s accomplishment. “Storytelling is a way we have communicated our ideas and life experiences from the dawn of human time,” Rzepa said. “The Toastmasters’ program helps develop this skill for clarity and fun.”
