The Bargain Barn will return to their renovated home store. Open for business Saturday July 3, the hours of operation will be Saturdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 26 take advantage of the “Fill a brown bag” sale for $5 at the legion.
Donations accepted at the Pender Harbour Community Hall on Fridays starting July 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. Two bag limit per person each visit of clean, new, or gently items please. For large item donations contact [email protected]. Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers whose commitment makes the Barn “the finest, friendliest thrift store” supporting our Pender Harbour Health Centre.
The legion will reopen Wednesday, July 7 with “Wings Wednesday.” Friday, July 16 will be the first Fish and Chips Night and Eddy Edrik will entertain.
Canada Day, Thursday, July 1 the Pender Harbour Community Club will celebrate with a special Madeira Market in The Gardens, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a great lineup of vendors. The Saturday market hours are now 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting this Saturday, June 26. Come visit! Come shop! Have lunch and cool milkshakes from Triple BBB’s. Tony cooks every single delicious dish. The Harbour Gallery is a short stroll from the market and not to be missed. The works of our local artists are a feast for the eyes. Hours are Saturdays 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Melliquist family of Gunboat Bay will once again host a live music event for boaters on Canada Day with the fantastic Peter Van Trio with Al Alford and Tim Rannard starting at 2 p.m. Safety protocols in place including no rafting.
Live music at the Clubhouse this week – Jennifer Mauel will entertain at the Friday Dinner Show, 5 to 8 p.m. For the Sunday show enjoy A Cue Stick, 2 to 5 p.m. $5 cover charge for Sundays. Reserve your table now.
