The Arrowhead Clubhouse Society is seeking volunteers to join its board of directors. Arrowhead is a member of Clubhouse International, which has over 350 members worldwide, supporting individuals living with mental illness.

The main function of the Arrowhead board is to ensure stable funding to operate the clubhouse, located at 5554 Inlet Ave. in Sechelt, five days a week. Funding is obtained through grant applications, donations and special fundraising events such as the Oscars Eve party and the recent Victoria Maxwell event.

“Volunteering for Arrow-head, getting to know the clubhouse members, joining in special events, and seeing the progress made by members through the varied programs, is a richly rewarding experience,” the board said in a release.

“If you are a compassionate team player whose skills include effective communication, problem solving, leadership, event planning or if you have a financial background, please consider joining the team of dedicated board members who care about the well-being of those in our community who are living with mental illness.”
