AppleFest celebrates the harvest

Halfmoon Bay

Anndrias Mosscrip and Helen Charko of Halfmoon Organic Farm offered apple samples.

Hundreds of folks filled Coopers Green Park on Oct. 22 for the annual AppleFest, hosted by Halfmoon Bay Community Association.

Leading up to the event, volunteers prepared a giant cauldron of delicious apple butter, which was then canned and sold at the festival as a fundraiser for the new community hall project.

There was also local produce and crafts for sale, live music, activities for kids, pony rides, food vendors and an art exhibit in the hall.
