The Sunshine Coast Museum and Archives’ annual fundraising event will take place at Sunnycrest Mall in Gibsons on Feb. 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Have you ever wondered about the value of some of your most prized possessions? Well, here is your chance to find out.

On Saturday, Feb. 24, bring your family heirlooms, mysterious artwork, jewelry and memorabilia down to the Antiques and Collectables Roadshow to be appraised. The Sunshine Coast Museum and Archives’ annual fundraising event will take place at Sunnycrest Mall in Gibsons from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Any item that you can carry into the mall will be appraised for a fee of $15 for one item, $20 for two, $25 for three, and a $30 flat fee per collection. A collection is defined as items of a similar nature (think comic books, tea cups, coin collections, etc).

There is a limit of three items per visit and you can visit as many times as you wish. Appraisals are done on a first come, first served basis.

In past years, community members have brought in rare comic books, limited edition sports memorabilia and even an original Emily Carr painting for appraisal. All proceeds from the Antiques Roadshow will be used towards Museum and Archives projects to help preserve and promote the history of the Sunshine Coast.

Bring your friends and family down to the Antiques and Collectables Roadshow and see what community treasures are unveiled while supporting your local museum.
