Earth continues its catch-up with the outer planets as spring goes on. Mars passed Jupiter and Saturn at the end of March and all three planets are lined up before sunrise in the southeast, from left to right: Mars, Saturn and Jupiter.

While business is far from usual amidst the COVID-19 crisis, Habitat for Humanity Sunshine Coast remains hard at work placing families in affordable, secure housing.

The health-care trifecta of Dr. Rahul Gupta, Dr. Lisa Kitt and Dr. Marius Welgemoed came together again on April 21 to talk about COVID-19-related emotions and resilience.

The Rotary Club of the Sunshine Coast’s Coronavirus Survival Kits went viral last weekend. Generous – and safety-minded – shoppers at Trail Bay Mall snapped up the kits so enthusiastically, the first batch of 100 kits were gone by noon Sunday.

The Girl Guides had cases of cookies to sell, and with the current social distancing restrictions, they were not able to go door to door this year.

It’s been seven weeks since my boy has been to school and as our new normal is shaping up, it is more important than ever to help those around us by using the small businesses in our own community wherever possible.

Hi everyone! Hope you all had an awesome week! The weather was a little less sunny over the last few days but we sure needed the rain. Stage 1 water restrictions come into effect on May 1.

Horns will be blowing and flags will be flying on Friday, May 1 between 7 and 8 p.m.
