Kisses and Kicks: November 3 edition

Here are the good deeds (and not so good deeds) that happened in our Coast community this week!
Kisses & Kicks
Kisses & Kicks

Here are your kicks and kisses for the week of November 3!

  • Kisses to anyone who decided to be kind today.
  • Kicks to everyone who yields stop signs… “stop” is not a suggestion.
  • To Suzanne at Sea Dog Salon for the care that she takes with our dogs and the great grooming that she does.
  • Many kisses and blessings to the gentleman outside Guardian Drugs who saw me using a broken umbrella and insisted on trading me for his intact one. He even said he’d fix mine and return it the next time he saw me on the street.
  • Big slobbery kisses to my dogs. Just because you are so beautiful and loving.
  • Kicks to the person or persons who drop off their recycled oil at our facility after hours. It is irresponsible to leave this on our property and against the law to do so.  You are on camera.
  • Kisses to the people who abide by the rules of recycling used oil responsibly. Thank you for taking the time to drop it off while we are open. We and the environment appreciate it.
  • Kisses in large print to Aaron, Danica and the Newbie in the photo lab at London Drugs. You were all wonderful and the poster is perfect.
  • Kisses and snuggly hugs goodbye to Smokey the cat and August the dog. Both incredible animals who shared lots of love and will be greatly missed.
  • Kisses to Irene and the Gibsons Starbucks crew, who found my wallet that slid into a sneaky spot for a short lived vacation. Over the moon to have it back.
  • Kisses to the fellow EV user who plugged my car in for me when their car was done charging! Coastal kindness at its best.
  • Kisses to IGA Gibsons for allowing us to set up our hot dog and bake sale fundraiser for the U13 Female Sunshine Coast Blues Hockey Team and to all the people who donated! Go Blues!
  • Kisses to Jordan and the other employee working at the Telus store in Sechelt for helpfulness and kindness well beyond the call of duty! Much appreciated!

Email your Kisses and Kicks to [email protected]. The deadline for submissions is 1 p.m. every Tuesday for a given week.

Coast Reporter will run kisses and kicks entries as space permits on a first-received, first-published basis.

Submissions must be accompanied by a name and phone number for confirmation by the editor. Names will not be printed in the column unless requested by the writer, for kisses only.

A kick is intended to be an anonymous critique between private parties and may in no way publicly identify an individual, group or business directly or indirectly.

Submissions must be no longer than 30 words. If your thanks or critique is longer, consider an ad in our classified section. The editor reserves the right to edit or refuse to run any submission.
