Kisses and Kicks: November 29 edition

Here are the good deeds (and not so good deeds) that happened in our Coast community this week!
Kisses & Kicks
Kisses & Kicks

Here are your kicks and kisses for the week of November 29!

  • Huge high fives to BC Hydro for their excellent service under daunting circumstances! You are appreciated!
  • Thanks to John at Park Road Auto. A great set of tires and fixing my mirrors charging me less than quoted. You made a grumpy old man happy again. Good job.
  • Endless kisses to the Home Care Nurses for their compassion and dedication to my husband D’Arcy. Your kindness strengthened and uplifted his spirits even in the end.
  • Blown away kisses to ALL the restaurant workers on the Coast who were overwhelmed with customers during the wind storm. Thank you for feeding all of us!!
  • A Big WOW, and WAY TO GO to all the BC Hydro workers who worked so late to get our power back!!
  • Kisses to Matt at Gibsons Glass Doctor. He diagnosed my leaking car problem, carefully explained the problem  and promptly fixed it. Many thanks from an old grandma.
  • 500 kisses to the Leadership Team at Elphistone Secondary for raising $500 for the St. Bart’s Food Bank at their Halloween Dance and to Sara Mani, the leadership teacher!
  • A rainbow of kisses from Halfmoon Bay to all our EXTRAORDINARY hydro workers and fearless tree maintenance guys. You are real heroes!!! THANK YOU for bringing back the light.
  • Kisses to all my supportive neighbours and friends during and after the frightening wild wind storm. I am so grateful to you all.
  • Kisses to the SCRD public works department who the very next day after the windstorm had the street cleaner truck clearing all the aftermath of the   (Nov. 4) storm.

Kisses to Super Valu cashier, Matt, for loaning me the balance after I couldn’t find my debit card and didn’t have enough cash to pay for my groceries. You totally saved me from having a bad day! (I did eventually find the card in the bottom of my shopping cart.)

Hugs and kisses to the staff at Howe Sound Pharmacy who got my prescription ready on Thursday after a bad fall, so I didn’t have to go there on Friday to get it, when it was originally scheduled to be picked up. Thank you all very much.

Great appreciative kisses to the “Life’s a Pitch” Roofing team who spend all day repairing roofs in West Sechelt.
